Poor man's coco nutes

Hello everyone,

I grow for myself to save money (haha not yet), or at least that's what I tell my wife! Getting ready for my fourth grow. My first run was bag seed and a couple clones from a local dispensary, but the last three have been autoflowers, Mandalorian Genetics Alf#5 variety.

Grow space is a 4x4 with a Mars Hydro TS1000, which is intended to be used in a 3x3 tent, but I wanted to cut down on heat since the setup is in my bedroom. I have a couple 1000watt unbranded ebay blurples that put off a lot of heat I could hang in there if I ever need more light for flower, but haven't yet.

First grow was in potting soil, second was in 5 gal hydro bubbler buckets, third was in a perlite/vermiculite mixture, and this fourth I just started is in a Coco/perlite mix.

As far as nutrients go, I've used the General Hydroponics Flora line, Expert Gardener's organics, and water soluble MG all purpose. I've had plenty of success, but I'm still trying to find what works for me. Honestly I think I just like experimenting at this point...

Which brings me to my current grow in coco/perlite. I thought I'd try using Miracle Gro Bloom 15-30-15, calcium nitrate, and epsom salts for the whole grow.

Unfortunately my Calcium nitrate got lost in the mail. The seller is resending it, but my seedlings popped out about a week ago. I have everything else.

What I want to know is, from a nutritional standpoint only, is there anything I'm missing from my poor man's hydroponic mix?

I know the Flora line would work fine in this medium, and I still have plenty, but I want to make this MG Bloom mix work. Please don't recommend I use other nutrients, that's not what I'm looking for here. I'm using the MG Bloom.

Am I missing any essential nutrients?

Do you think it could work?

Megacrop 2 part. MKP, fulvic as drench. All pretty cheap. Get some epson salts from walfart. While you are there, gwt mosquito dunks and yellow sticky strips in case of gnats from coco.

Megacrop A is same as jacks, part B is cal-nit.

I use jacks but same thing.

Yes it can work. It's not ideal as that is a bloom booster and pretty high in phosphorus. It also doesn't have any calcium or magnesium and just a trace of sulfur which you'll have with the calcium nitrate and magnesium sulfate you're using in addition to it.

I'm curious how it will end up so keep the thread updated as your grow goes along. You don't need fancy cannabis nutrients to grow good weed. I use just a 3-10-20 micronutrient blend with calcium nitrate and have for years. I add a little MKP and epsom salts in flower. Sometimes adding potassium sulfate mid flower.

Don't use it full strength. And it is P heavy.
