Meh. It's a book of philosophical stories..it actually intrigues me of what basic people thought two thousand years ago and prior. It's their writings that's why to follow today you must use a broad brush and know that license was taken even back then.
A valid point though.
its a book a bad philosophical stories..almost everything in the bible is either wrong, or done for the wrong reasons.
they're trying to get you to have faith, which they can manipulate.

David is a missile launcher, and Goliath is an out of date tank, if David hadn't been able to take Goliath out with no effort, he would have been a horrible slinger, a kid that could kill rabbits for dinner could have taken out Goliath...
