im growimg purple strains and my closet at 70 with light off it i get a portable AC unit could i lower temp

I just got one off ebay for 335 dollars a little spendy but well worth it drop my temps alot

335 but im looking for one that cost 200 and under

yeah so was I, I could not find one big enough for that price range so I went with this one its 12,000 BTU, with a progamable thremostat

go to ebay. i searched for while nd 333 was about average price for cheapest used portble a/c unit. so buck it up and dont waste to much time looking, cuz u wont find it

hope this is helpful. i just recieved my 12000 dual hose but have yet to install it.

how big is your room? how much does the temp need to be lowered? are you sure you need AC?
how is your humidity?
i ask because i built a swamp fan for really cheap, with a cooler, fan, fountain pump, and a coil of copper tube. it's a pain in the ass to change the ice every day but it lowered my temp like 7f with far less energy use.

i looked every where for cheap very small AC units and didnt find much either.
just a thought.

Im also looking into getting a portable ac unit or something similar to cool down my closet, which gets up to around 90ish in the daytime.

I found several a/c unit type things (not exactly a/c units) for around $100

Basically you put water/ice in these machines and they can cool a room down by up to 12degrees or so, which is pretty good considering you want to be around 75ish when growing I guess.

I dont think a/c will get you down to freezing temp, the way I understand is they turn purple when they have been at or around freezing temps

good looking ima cut the ac on frezzing and put 5 bag of ice in front of a fan that should do the job

Purple is just a color... I actually like the original lavender strain... that actually tastes like purple... "grapes" "lavender" "purple urkle" are some of my favorite strains... dont know the difference between pertaining to genetics but I cant get enough of em.....

Sorry no pics my dude, but I am using a portable a/c and I find that in conjunction with a fan or two it does fine.

So ya I found one on craigslist for 150 and I felt good that money was going to a family. It works very well and has 3 fan speeds 7000btu (i think) and it works with my dryer vent!!!! win win !!!
