that sounds like a nice way to start the day Ishrahnai :) I used to love when my kids came in to get in bed with me.
Hey Fumble, I'm really trying to savour every moment now. She's growing so quick, I'm up for another one now too! I think every child should have a sibling if poss.

Mmmmmm, it's the bit when she goes from being this innocent pure thing to a teenager that's gonna freak me. I know it's some time off but she's my salvation when times are hard. The way her face lights up when I get home from work is ace, doubt it'll be so when she's teenage.

I so know what you are talking about. I lost my daughter for a few years there (figuratively speaking)...those teen years can be hell...but she came back and is growing into such a lovely young woman. I can't imagine my life without her, or my son. It was def worth all the pulling out of hair lol.

So so true, the look of delight on their faces cannot be beat!

Her teenage years may be a bit hellish but I've got that coming due to karma. At the end of the day I know she's going to grow into a wonderous force of nature, beautiful strong and happy. That's all anyone can hope for!

How's the weather in your corner of the world today?
Absolutely freezing brass monkeys! I don't mind cold or snow, unless it makes its way through and eats my feet. Once my toes are ice, I'm done......... Home for a nice cup of tea and a vape! How's about you, wherever you are?

Just to bore you with the origins of that phrase. It come from the brass triangles they used to store cannon balls on, ye olde sail ships n stuff.
The triangles were called monkeys and when it was cold they'd shrink and the cannon balls would fall off and roll about.
"Aaaargh cap'n. The balls are loose tis freezin brass monkeys" I'm sure is how it went.

Yeah, most people don't know that one.
I rode ships for 24 years in the US Coast Guard.

I have a lot of useless nautical bits rattling around in my noggin.

Wow man, an actual sailor. I wasted my fingers typing that then eh? So do you know the phrase 'plug boy', I'm honestly not taking the piss if you do, if you don't you'll have a giggle as i did when an old guy on site we used to banter with called me it. Lol

I can't say that I've heard "plug boy" used - what's it mean?
It's a humorous bit of naval history. I'll save you the search time, way back when as sailors were away at sea for so long they'd need to relieve certain sexual urges. Soooooo as women were bad luck and all that they took a fresh young lad with them who sat on a wooden peg or 'plug' so he'd be ready for duty so to speak.
Imagine how that job interview went eh?
