Possible good news from Monterey County.

I posted this before I read about the way San Jose is screwing over the dispensaries. They're going to force a bunch of them to close down and the rest will have to move out of the "respectable" parts of town and set up shop in industrial areas. Overall, that's a net loss for anyone who lives in this area and wants to get their meds from a dispensary. I sure hope Del Rey Oaks goes ahead and breaks the trend, but I'm guessing it will be fought tooth and nail in this county. Bastards.

 it is gonna be great not having to drive to Santa Cruz, or having to rely on the delivery services. But this place is going to be so packed, I bet they are gonna have to do it by appointments only.

And they better have plenty of parking! There's a lot of retired hippies in that area who are going to want meds for their creaky bones.

The county HAS to keep at least one dispensary open in the County or they're out of compliance with State Law 215.
They will shut down outdoor grows and force you to grow in special "Permitted" Green house and force you to store
your weed out of your home and secured there. Warrantless searches will be coming and then you'll see the BOS sitting
in judgment of the people found not in compliance.
You can stick any County name on this cause if it hasn't happened yet it will.

Oh and cover your Lic plate when you park and cover your face cause they will be there to make a record of who's going there.

Does my 420 evaluations, physicians statement and recommendation protect me here in monterey county? Or do I need to get the card that the department of health and safety issue Under the medical marijuana patients identification card program?
All good questions. I've wondered about the county-issued cards but have never bothered to look more deeply into it. I'm not sure I'd trust this county with the information.

It was back in the 30s.

I don't see it happening soon in Salinas they have become pretty militarized as far as the
Police go.

But with heroin being the backbone of the black-market there, it would provide a safe source for those not wanting to be exposed to that element.

I hope they provide safe excess.
