Yup. I don't ever use them with plants in my tent. I know people do, but just not for me.

I would use it on plants if they were in veg still. Wrap them in a trash bag with a no pest strip for a day. If there are pests (mites especially), on the plants though, that means the whole space is infected, so I would hit everything in bags.

Like they say, they can go dormant for months, so shutting down and killing everything is the only real solution.

I don't use it as part of my management, but like to have them in case. I don't grow in my house so I don't worry about the fumes anyway, even if I did.

I would bomb anything like new clones, used gear from other growers..

Keep them hanging up in my grow trailer when i'm not using it.

FYI Broadmites can lay dormant for 6 months, so if you had them and did nothing but shut down for 6 months, they can easily rr spawn on new plants

I shut down sanitized and burned sulfur every single day also...still they came back

From researchers they said life cycle (5-13 days) is short without host plant and cannot play dormant in any circumstances...just quoting what they said.
I think russets can overwinter though

Lol why are you even here asking questions if you know all the answers already? The post above this one is clearly another idiot like myself who thinks they can go dormant (like myself he might have even experienced this) but what do we know.

yes forget spider mites, they are a piece of piss to get rid of compared to russet mites, i had russet mites two years ago, complete bastard to get rid of finally managed though neem oil/horti soap sprays and predator mites galore, i though i had pm but checked and the fuckers were everywhere, tbh i would say russet mites over thrips, get spraying and btw that tray looks pukka

Just quoting what those "researchers" said, we're here to exchange ideas and experiences...no need to be hostile brother. Hell they can be wrong and you might be right lol
They probably can go dormant for long periods of time, I've heard people stop for 6-12 months and somehow they still come back...unless it's from infected clones.

Tbh, they can be dormant for ages, i have just noticed i have the bastards again, so it's spray time later today, first time i ever saw the culprit laying the eggs/larvae though, got squished pronto.

no problem they just get neem oil/horticulteral soap with warm water mix, spray complete plant stem under and top of leaves and just add some fresh predators.

And that took care of them? Sounds easy lol

it will do but not recommended in flower mine were placed into flower a week ago so no issues doing them, either way i'll keep them out of the room in darkness whilst the spray residue dries and suffocates the bastards.

What would you use? Something like suffoil?
