Possibly stupid question but I guess I'll ask...

Is it possible to veg a plant in a normal sized solo cup for 2 weeks and then start flowering it? Would it become too cramped in that space? I feel like I could expect an oz off one plant; if it is possible.vbongsmilie

well, I don't have a link to it.

but.. someone on here was doing a 'Solo Party Cup' grow.. I think the guy had like 3 of them...

ended up not looking too bad.. I don't remember what he yielded or anything.. but it is possible to do.

Good luck!

peace..

You should search this site for the "party cup" threads and you will find a number of them.

Good Luck :joint::peace:

I don't think it's possible, not even probable, to get an ounce. The rest you can do as you please. The size of the container alone will restrict the plant size, veg time in that size container will make next to no difference. If space is your overwhelming consideration, do a 12/12 from seed grow and that way you can pack as many plants in as possible into your space and you should be able to identify the sex of all the plants before three weeks. You can't grow big plants in small restricted spaces, so go for as many small ones as possible. Realistically you might get a half ounce per plant but that would be an achievement. Remember, small plants does not mean they won't be good.

i would personally bet that its totally dependant on the strain. iam using 1ltr bottles cut in half to start in. this way i can see the roots and how far along they are progressing. these ones i have going now (BlackJack) are forming roots at a slower rate than my previous bagseed sativas did, and they are now starting week 3 in the same container. they probably would have been transplanted around now (5 nodes each, about 3" tall) but i topped them, and knowing this was gunna stunt for another week, i left em for now. once i see some signs of REAL growth again (iam already seeing small signs but its not racing like it was before) ill transplant.

as the threads that have been linked show, a party cup grow is more than possible, but i would bet size, yields, etcetera, would be detirmined on things like strain and nutrients than it would on root growth. ive seen plenty of plants that were high yeilders , and what some would call 'root bound' plants, in small containers, and ive also seen pathetic plants in 5 gallon containers. just my .02
