Post harvest scent

First off i would like to thank everyone on this site for all of the help and advice through my first grow.

I just recently harvested and now have the plants hanging, but i'm not really happy with the current smell that they have. The plants seem to have more of a leafy plant smell than the normal bud scent that I am used to. This was my first time harvesting, is it possible that I did not trim it down enough?

it takes about a week for the plant to ripen to perfection. some people like to sweet there buds in jars to help the curing process.

Curing in jars is very important to the taste & smoke of your herb. I cure for a couple months in jars, burping them regularly in the first couple weeks. Try it, I'm pretty sure you'll like the results.

the plants have been hanging for about a week now and i'm pretty sure that
theyre ready to go into some jars so i'll get working on that today.
