Potential grow setup

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and completely new to growing, but I've read countless grow guides here and on other sites/forums. I'm planning on starting my plants as soon as it gets a bit warmer around my parts, but I was hoping that you guys could throw some suggestions maybe and answer a few questions.

My plan is basically this:

I have a cabinet, (this one to be specific) that I want to grow 2-4 plants in using two Aquafarm bucket systems(seen here). I'm going to use computer fans for the exhaust system, as well as a homemade carbon filter (as seen on this site :D)
My only concern really is my lighting system... I'm trying to decide whether it is worth it to shell out the $150+ for a HID system for such a small space, or if it's a better idea to go with a lot of CFL's.

And while the Aquafarm's are great and all, it seems like a waste of space to have them in the grow chamber, could I put them in another container, below the grow chamber, and have them coming up through? Or would it be better to just LST the plants? or a combination of both?

And do you think that you could put two plants in one aquafarm?

I know it's a lot, so thanks in advance for replies.bongsmilie

20 CFL 23W Daylight :D More Light=Bigger Healthier Plant... CFL doesn't produce Heat and it's nice for a small cabinet like yours. Put a max amount of CFL and not all to the roof, put half of them on the side, It will help undergrowth being much bigger. A friend of mine, Using the same strain had The same results than me with CFL and I'm gowing HID (HPS) A LOT OF CFL! A LOT !

For the flowering part of the grow you can change ALL the CFL for WARM ones

if your gorwing with CFLs your gonna want ATLEAST 6 23w's. Even more during flower. Look for the CFLs that are 50w-100w. The guy that said to use just 2 23w's doesnt know what hes talking about.

And yes, 6 of each will give you awesome results

I can understand using CFL's for vegg, but to use CFL's for flowering is something I'll never understand.
Plants will never be able to bud to their full potential under CFL's.

So new theory then, 10 socket homemade adjustable reflector, and 3 sockets on each of the sides, with cool blue CFLs for veg, and warm white for flowering?

Well for such a small space would CFL's be more efficient/less of a risk, or is an HPS that much more worth it? I plan to LST my plants also.. Also can't buy anything online. I have a local hydroponics store nearby, but I didnt see anything that cheap
