Powder Mold

I am in my 6th week of flower and I've got this white powder mold appearing on almost every leaf. So now I've installed several dehumidifiers and am keeping it under 60%. I've also got a sulpher burner doing it's thing.
My question is,...till what stage of flower can I use the sulpher burner,...week 8?
Next, how do I get rid of the evidence? Thanks.

I dont know about the sulfer burner,but if your wondering how to get the powder mold off...try a hose attatchment from your vaccuum. Youll laugh while doing it

Are you serious? lol. so my bud don't get sucked off? lmao. SO you could do this the day before harvest even?

Man i dont see how on earth a vaccume will help get rid of powdery mildew,i can maybe see some of the top portion off the leaf getting sucked off but alot still being left,if you say so i take your word for it.

What about resin glands,i know strong fans will blow resin off the plants so a vac has got to suck off alot of resin.

Why not spray the plants with copper soap ? Thats what i treat all my plants with & it allways kills all mildew & leaves the plants looking perfect,no residual mold left anywhere,i spray up until the last 2 weeks of bud with no bad taste.

If you are allready experiencing serious powdery mildew be damm sure you get some good air flow thru the canopy & all around the buds,ive had bid rott twice over the years & both times it started out with powdery mildew,now i allways spray every grow with copper soap twice just to be on the safe side.

sulfur is a common fungicide
so is copper

sulfur burner would work I'd think; but, spray on fungicide and that will help; try not to over do it; excess copper or sulfur would likely be unpleasant.

What about the part about using a vacuum cleaner? Or for that matter, an air hose to blow it off? Wouldn't that take off the trichs as well?

yeah; I would imagine the mold spores would stick to the plant especially on the trics; vacuuming wont do anything you couldn't do by just wiping it off with a rag soaked with fungicide.

Your too far into flower to be burning sulphur. Your going to ruin your crop if you use sulphur dude. I wouldn't burn that stink in my room with plants that far into bud unless you want your product tasting like matches. Yuck!

Ok, thanks guys! I didn't think vacuuming was a viable solution. I am going to spray them with fungicide or 1 part milk to 9 parts water.

Yeah, im serious. While im ashamed to say it when I first started I had some serious powder mold issues, some shit was soooo bad I vaacuumed it. Sure, tr,s come off, but no one wants to smoke mold, more than they want to smoke trchomes. Its a give take. Besides, if you got it bad, you probably dont have nice fatty trchs anyways. It shames me, but ive done it. I needed money.... Had to sell it. (hangs head in shame)

LOL, Well, I will try it on a single bud and look at the before and after! I might try compressed air too.

I got pm about the same timeframe you are having issues now. Nothing I did worked but I was able to wash the pm off at harvest following the method shown here by Jorge Cervantes on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7jE7qzfgQs it works.....

the vacume is not a good idea!! goats milk work well also mighty wash make a PM wash that killer, the beggest thing is keeping your plants safe is keeping the humitity
down in flower, I like 40 to 45%

give yer leafs a wash in a WEAK alcohol solution using a swab of some sort is my advise, but you don't have to take it

There's the video within RIU now! OP: Follow this videos instructions, you'll be dancing all the way to the bud bank. H2O2 can be found at any Hydroponics store. Try not to use Rite-Aid for H2O2.

spray your leaves down with diluted 3% hydrogen peroxide. ^^^ this guy knows what's up, but you can treat it now before it kills your plants. it's not a good idea to let it grow for 2 weeks, then try and wash it off. peroxide is amazing for mold issues. baking soda in water is also a good option. powdery mildew grows in damp acidic conditions. baking soda will help alkaline the leaf and stops the mold from spreading. i've always found milk to be good at helping to prevent mold problems, but established powdery mildew needs to be treated with hydrogen peroxide or good ol' ammonia to kill it.

Ylem: I'd agree, but he's in week 8. Let the flowers be flowers and do the preventative better air circulation next run!

I used PM wash to get rid of it. Apply evey 3 days and the last 2 days befor harvest use power wash to wash the residu off. Also try dropping RH to 50% or less harvest.
