powdery mildew and bugs

i just started to notice on three of my 9 plants what appears to be powdery mildew, ive never had it before that's why I just wanted to make sure. also on almost all my plants I started to notice these holes appearing along with some weird looking marks on some of the leaves, although I could not find any bugs on any of the leaves or in the tent.

I don't want to get to technical about bugs and mold . a plant with no bugs and mold is good . a plant with bugs and mold bad. hope this helps.

well if im sorry I should of stated a plant with bugs and mold is very bad . not just bad . and if a plant has 2 different kinds of mold and 2 or more kinds of bugs would be very very very very bad .

Powdery mildew can be controlled. I have heard of people getting complete rid of it but I never could. I think it is with the plant its whole life even if you remove the infected leaves. Did you get the plants from clone? It might be the reason for the mold. You might need to control your humidity with a dehumidifier. As for the bugs, they look to be damaging the leaves. Do you have a scope to confirm they are mites? Google some stuff called Doktor Doom mite spray. I have not had an issue with mites, thank god, but I know people that have and they swear by this Doktor Doom.

I was more asking what the spots on the plants are. I cannot find any bugs so I'm at a complete loss. What humidity should be at? I have a dehumidifier and I keep the humidity around 30 and temps around 67 at night and 75 during the day

better treat it fast, bugs and fungus share one thing in common, the longer you wait, the harder it is to treat.

I cant realy tell from the pics, kinda blurry. are the big spots leaf miners?

Just researched leaf miners and that seems to be exactly what I have. Have any tips for treatment?

spinosad works great for leaf miners and Serenade for powdery mildew. GL

Afaik spinosad works well for leaf miners, the only other option would be systemic insecticide. no idea if serenade has any effect on pm the label says it does but idk anyone who has cleared a pm infection with it.

theres alot of pm "treatments" that kill the part of the pm thats on the surface of the leaf. the problem is that pm lives inside the plant. only part of it comes to the surface to chuck spores. the only way I have seen people clear it from their grow is with systemic fungicides. I use one with myclobutanil, it's worked very well for me. Obviously you need to make sure that whatever you use is approved for food crop use...

so ive been using this copper fungicide to treat the powdery mildew every 7 days like the directions say, and it definitely has slowed down the spreading of the PM but it still is spreading. anyone know if theres any other organic products I can use with this one? im on day 5 of flower and really want to have it all gone by the start of week three to avoid having to spray when buds trichomes are starting to come in.

serenade but I don't know if it works as a cure or not. In fact idk of any organic way to clear a pm infection. I've used myclobutanil which worked well. You'd have to put it back into veg for a week or two unless it's a slow flowering strain tho. the problem with pm is that it lives inside of the plant, only a small part of it is on the surface. most of the ways of treating it only suppress the part of it on the surface of the leaf.

Serenade is good once, then you have to rotate treatments. Best is fix the problem. PM likes big RH swings. Spores spread when really dry and grow when really moist. If all else fails what WILL work is a sulfur vaporizer.

Okay I'll try the serenade and rotate it with what I have now, it's still only really on the lowest leaves so I've been trying to pull all of the infected leaves off. I'm running blue dream and jilly bean which I have been told are both around 60 days strains. I figure I have two weeks max left of spraying before buds come in and I have to stop spraying the whole plant and I'll only be able to treat select leaves, so I'm trying to get it as much under control as I can before then.

I recently heard serenade would effect the flavor of my flowers even if it's just applied to the leaves, has anybody else heard this? I would never want to ruin the flavor , but I might have to because this pm is getting bad.

serenade is a bacteria, Bacillus subtilis, it shouldn't effect flavor at all. afaik that along with treatments like alkaline water, soap, various oils, sulfer... only kill the part of the mildew that is on the surface of the plant. so it will still be there. I do know one guy that completely cleared a pm infestation with sulfer burners, but only 1.

Well I don't think I can completely clear it at this point, I'm starting my second week of flower so my only hope really is just trying to keep the buds clear of PM, I just removed all the infected leaves, thinking I may have overdone it a little. I also got another fan in my room and took off a lot of leaves and smaller branches to increase air flow, anything else I should be doing? Also what temps are best to prevent PM.
