Powdery Mildew on Harvested Nuggies?

So i chopped down my blue dream and lemon diesel 5 days ago. I began jarring today and noticed very small patches of PM on some of the stems. No affected buds. I removed the affected areas obviously, but i'm not sure that will help. Will it spread to the whole jar while curing??? Can i do anything to diffuse the spread, besides quick drying. humidity in the hang room was at about 68% steadily... (it's been raining a lot) even with dehumidifier running full blast. anyway. any help would be much appreciated:?:

its a shame there isnt some kind of organic, non-toxic spray that i could hit the drying nugs with that wouldnt affect the taste, aroma or chemical composition of the final product... oh well. I'm keeping a close eye on it. As a matter of interest when, during the curing process, do i not need to worry about the PM spreading anymore? thanks for the input

I believe you can make butane hash oil (bho) with bud that's got powdery mildew or mold. The process will extract the THC without the mold, and I think the drastic temperature change and the solvent kill any biological matter, which are strained out by the coffee filters as well. It's a good way to save what would otherwise be trash.

That's an interesting question. Ther are organic sprays that say you can use up till the final days of harvest. I wonder myself now if you can still use after harvest. You can also try the water cure on some of your bud. Make sure you change and dis infect your jar. Peace jethead

I had the same prob, this week. What i did was soak them in 1 1/2 cups of peroxcide and a gallon of water for about 2 hours. Then hung them with a fan on them for 2 days. It's been 4 days now and they still look good. I'm going to jar them tomorrow.
