Power usage?

Im in a non legal state. Using two 600w bulbs in a hydroponic setup. My bill is estimated to rise 80 dollars above what it would usually be. Is it suspicious to the electric company for me to use that much power? Will they be able to see when my lights come on and guess what is happening based on that information? I wont be stealing electricity because i have a great job, I just dont want to lose everything because of power consumption. My box is airtight and wrapped in IR Blocker from HTG Supply.

What is your excuse when you use that much power? Will i be safe?

Im also in a 3 bedroom house.

1,200W of light, plus incidentals...we'll say (to be extreme) 1,500W. That's a hair-dryer, or a baseboard heater, the power company will not notice it, or if they do, they won't care as long as you pay your bill.

But, if you stole a few KW of power, that's a different story...

you have absolutely nothing to worry about at this point. you could add a couple more 600's even without a problem

perfect timing its just starting to get warm out side . so your nor running a new ac system , your gona be alright a very good hi end stereo system will gulp that much electric as well . 80 dollars is nothing some of us pay 2k a month !
