PPM in hydro

In hydro nft system plants can take up to 2.4 ec and still not burn. If the liggt intensity is high they may uptake more otherwise its not necessary to waste nutes, stick to the request I'd Suggest.

This sounds high, but... PPMx What?!

If it's 1500ppm "500" (Tds), that's 2100ppm 700 (ECx700), that's 3EC.

If it's 1500ppm "700" (ECx700), that's 1100ppm 500 (Tds), that's 2.2EC. That could be reasonable. The top would be pretty high.

Op, always easiest to give your measurements in the universal EC.

Either way it's high (considering you're posting in the newbie section). I was growing tree's in a cch20 and never getting near that high.

Now here's the learning question to ask yourself; Why did you decide to raise the nute strength?

I see two different charts with two different readings. One was for 1200ppm and the other for 1500ppm. I probably confused myself somewhere. I have much to learn. Thanks for the knowledge!

See this chart, and see what setting your ppm meter is reading in. It will most likely be ppm 500 (TDS), ppm 700 (ECx700), or EC.

You can see on the bluelab truncheon meter, it gives the reading in different scales.
