Yea ive just had better luck with sprouts sprouting in a rockwool plug or rapid rooters or jiffey pellets

Seems like they always rot or damp off on me when i use a paper towel.

Mabey i had them too wet?
On the flip side ive dried them out in towels too

No problems in rockwool. So far

Jiffey Pellets are ok but dirty for hydro

Rapid rooters are good but ive had issues with those little brown sponges
From ripping seed head off as they popped through

To not letting the tap root though easily

Good seeds usually take about 4 days from soil, but I use clear plastic humidity domes until they emerge. Prevents freak drying out with ease.

IMG_20180211_154838438_HDR.jpg The dampening off...what kind of bacteria are in that paper towel when you get it? Too wet or warm and could be a mildew birth, and just roots dampening off when you plant it.

It's like me and bubble clones...to wet, they rot, they dampen off...all about getting that water level and air volume set right.

Have any of you guys tried topical MJ cream treatment for pain?
Might only work for certain types of pain, I'm sold on it for my wife's lower back pain.
Smoking strains designed for pain never helped her, I was quite discouraged. Hated any time she would need to take a pill. Found out a topical treatment would relieve the pain for 24 hours and give much more relief than the pill ever did.
Might not work for some types of pain but I would definitely give it a try.

Have any of you ever scraped the resin off your fingers after trimming using your teeth and then let it sit there. I would get a serious heat and numbing reaction doing that and it would last for a while.
Now that I'm sold on topical treatment I'll be searching for pheno types based on the heat and numbing effect for some plants instead of basing them on the smoking experience. :peace:
Getting topical here is nigh on impossible, this country is seriously backwards when it comes to anything MJ related for pain relief

When paper towels are used the tap root actually grows many fine roots. (Root hairs.) Those grow into and hold to the paper towel. When you move the seed it damages those root hairs. It may not increase the chances much but any damage is a place that bacteria or pathogens that cause damping off to be let in.

I've also found that using a paper towel doesn't save much time. Maybe a day or two. The seed in soil will have four to six inch roots by the time it breaks ground when planted straight to soil.

I also dont like how its easy to bloat the seeds

I like stress free for my beans so they gointo where they are born generally it is fun to see em sprout though

I didn't realise we had to post pics of the seeds, apologies.
I soaked them overnight, then into a paper towel for a day.
All 5 cracked and I've just finished planting in cups.
I'm going with an all fem seeds line up like this.
HSO
Blueberry Headband
Dinafem
Original Amnesia & Purple Orange (CBD)
Blimburn
BC Diesel.
Holy Smokes Seeds
Chem Toffees.

I had a dream last night that my vegging plants in cups had yellow necrotic leaves in veg, I usually don't have yellow necrotic leaves until early flowering.
Maybe it wasn't a dream, maybe it was a vision lol.
