Pressure cooking question...

I sterilized 12 jars in a pc....placed foil over the wholes.

When I took the foil off, I noticed drops of water on the top of the lid.

How much moisture do you think went in my jars? And do you think it will cause contaminants? I have a different strain to start, but I am waiting to see how these turn out....

Thanks

Nothing lives in steam, that's the idea of pressure cooking,... creating steam. As long as you follow sterile procedures, you'll be just fine.

I think only problem you might have from water getting into your jars is it throwing off your moisture content.

don't fill your pot so high with water, the foil is only there to protect holes in the lid from water condenseing on the lid of the pot
