Recently we went through a bought of HOT weather for the northwest, like 90ish, and I have no A/C in my place and my tent got up to 88 I realized with CFLs + my LED running so I had to turn off the CFLs.

I've noticed this starting yesterday, and continuing today.

16 Days Old, Bubblelicious, bottom set of leaves has this on them, but top set is fine? The cfls were hanging to the side but they were like 2-3" away. Maybe had hotspots in tent?

27 Days Old, Plant that survived bucket algae, recooping in soil, has not got any nutes, curling downward for about 48 hours now, but markings are new from today

16 Days Old, Silver Sufer (Notice the Tacoing leaf in center of picture it's rolling inward. That's heat right?)

So nutrients or heat? Because I've got a seedling that's 6 days old that is doing just fine and reaching for light, but he is about 8" from the CFLs and under the LED.

No way to tell for sure but heat seems likely considering it got to 90. Could be nute burn or a ph issue also. Is there any way to increase airflow and maybe have a fan blow over a bucket of frozen water- kinda like a cold humidifier? I guess start fixing environmental issues and check the ec, ppm. and ph. Does your tent have in/out airflow?

youre overwatering.

make sure you have lots of holes in those cups. poke holes all around and up the sides, leave just enough cup to keep the dirt inside, and water a lot less.

So I checked the pH of my soil and it's fine, 6.4-6.7 over 6 tests. Don't think it's that.

Will the overwatering cause the burned tips like that though/maybe a lockout?

The cup plants just got moved from the cups into .5 gal containers because originally the soil I was using in the cups was SHIT... It was like cake when it got wet and just didn't have any air in it. I have them in 2:1 soil to perlite with a little worm casting and it seems to take water in much more evenly.

They got water last night because the cups were bone dry like feather light almost repelling the water when I watered. The temps are good today so we'll see if new growth looks fine, that's what I should be looking at right? and that the damage doesn't spread?

Also you have nute burn ,brown tips(early sign) tell you your feeding too much ,back off, if they are burnt along the margins also they will probably die.

I don't get how it could have nute burn if it's in black gold and it hasn't been fed... The other ones have, but that guy hasn't. Could their organic soil REALLY be THAT hot? I heard it had no added nutrients and was easier on young plants than FFOF which is why I went with it...

I should also add: I have NEVER watered the 3 gallon pots to runoff.

Nor the .5 gallons the cups were just transplanted into.

Should I?

EDIT: The plant that came out of that cup you see above that has brown tips had awesome looking roots, spinning the cup thick and white. In fact they all did.

that doesnt look like heat stress to me. The folded leaves are normal in new growth when they dont have the room to spread out yet.

Burnt tips on seedlings usually indicates over fertilization.
