hey, i'm pretty new to this, and i was wondering if anyone uses those 5gal square pots. if anyone out there has experience with these, i would like to know:

a)are they really worth the extra bucks? i'm the type that likes to purchase quantity to save here and there, and you can't really get no bulk discount on those things

b)what kind of application would those square pots be used for? and i guess what i mean by that is, in what kind of grow op would the square pots be more beneficial than round

thanks for your input

Welcome to RIU :hump:

Square pots are good for making the most out of your space. You can pack more plants in as the pots fit nicely together.

I use square 5 gal containers. They're just as cheap as the round buckets. Get a drill, drill some holes(1/4" or less). The handles are awesome for carrying the soil around.

The only concern you should have is that you need about a gallon per foot during the flowering stage. So anticipate the growth spurt your plant might go through during flowering.
