What are rep points?

Rep points are given to helpful people. But are way miss used. So I feel it's a joke. Popularity contest thing. You can see by the green bar above the avitar photo.

I like the overall idea of the system, kind of like eBay feedback. But yeah, it gets misused a lot. How many rep points do you need to reach the next "level"? 100? Or do they just keep accumulating?

Don't know how the level thing works. Dosnt matter. There are people that only post in t&t section and got tons of rep but don't know shit about growing.

It sounds like it was deserved. It's not totally hopeless. Just gotta figure out who the bullshitters are as usual, can't totally rely on rep i guess. Sounds like you gave some good advice from your experienced construction background. That's what we need!

Here is the breakdown. But from what i have seen, it is widely abused.
