Problem involving power strip

Hey,

So I bought a PC Grow Case because I live in an Apt and can no longer have a full size grow room like I used to. Anywho the guy I bought the Pc Case from made everything so it is on ONE power strip. The power strip is inside the case and the end of it goes to the outside of the case to plug in.

Long story short the cord for the fans is in the the case and they get plugged into the power strip. However the power strip is what powers the lights, the lights are on a timer. The whole powerstrip is on a timer because of the lights and its the only energy supply source. How can I power the fans through the power strip with the timer still being in use but the fan's won't turn on when the timer is in use?

Should have the fans on anyways dude, constant air coming in and exhausting out will be good for the plant.

Can you plug the timer into the power strip where the light is going to be plugged in, as opposed to having the whole strip on the timer?
