i usually grow using HID with a duel spectrum grolux bulb (400watts) for vegetive stage and budding but this time i purchased cfl's (powerplant sunmate 125watts) with blue spectrum bulb for veg and red spectrum for budding, made sure my ph and ec ( cana nutrients)were correct using my tir meter tempeture and humidity also at an ideal level, i thought using cfl's would result in a cheaper power bill which it did but it turned out the buds were alot smaller and less potant using the cfl's has anyone had any success with cfl's who can give me some advice i think it maybe that there is not enough lumens from cfl's but i'm no expert as i am just a little personal hobbie grower but it's really not a big deal as i am back using my Hid but i am still curious about the cfl's

You didn't have enough lumens, or bulbs. I get tight buds with CFLs, but I use 6 to 8 bulbs, all 85 to 105 watt per bulb for a few square feet of grow space.

i'm a small 1st time inside grower myself, did a micro grow of nl#5 with 78w of cfl
potency is very high, if this strain gets more potent under hid, well i don't need it
