Problem with topping!!!

k so im growing my first pant right now and it is maybe a foot and half tall and it has 6 nodes of leave and i topped it after the fourth and after the first day of topping the top of the stem wood was black.. it has been three days now and the wood is still black...will two new stems grow through the black stem or will they grow somewhere else i am new to topping but i tried it anyway.. lol any help will be great

you probably topped it to high you should top about 1/2 inch above a node and the two leaf sets coming from benieth the node will grow into colas

dont worry bout it, its not a problem. all thats happening is that the top bit of stem is dead since all that juice is now going to the other branches. if it spreads id get a new clean razer an cut again below in case it somhow got infected with somthing but thats unlikly..

How far above fourth node did you cut?
The new growth wont grow thru the black part, but you should get 2 new growths to the sides of the forth node if you cut it directly above the node itself.
