Well as the title says i'm having a bit of trouble finding a spot to grow.
I thought I had the perfect spot to grow but when I acculy went to the spot I found out it was way to open. it was by a very little use single track bike trail.
So dose any one have any suggestions on a good place to grow??

wow guys google earth! Be a little more creative than google earth. Besides, Google's images for Google Earth aren't the latest. In some cases the images are years old!!!!

Willie North, if you gotta come on line to ask folks about grow spots you are one of either two things. One, very young, or two just don't have much of a imagination?

korvette1977.....a closet??? Brah, you're on the outdoor thread, not the indoor thread! Besides, growing outside is way better! No matter how hard technology tries, they can never replace the Sun! It's the best place for light & energy..

finding a spot could take along time.best bet is to start searchin during the winter months when activity is a minimum, that way u can scope an area and clean it up alittle, but do this to more than one spot and check on them when it warms and check for traffic,so that way if u have more than one spot and one fails,u got a back up.

It depends on where you are: are there a lot of public land areas available? Are you willing (and in good enough shape) to hump in to your area? Have you looked at several candidate spots, and then monitored them on and off through a period of time to gauge human traffic?

I realize it's a difficult decision to make, and it can be very intimidating.

I've lived in 5 different regions in the last 8 years. Finding candidate spots can be difficult, if you want to do outdoors. I'm rarely without a place; however I do one or two years of recon on many (not all) spots before I begin. Not only does that give you an advantage - via familiarity - but it gives you legitimacy if you are there often. As a hiker, a cyclist, photographer, etc.

Sometimes obvious places are great, other times, it's better to go commando.

Good luck man.

Well it depends on how you put it. im growing around a Rail Trail in which in Canada is a bike trail that goes accross the country that use to be a rail way. its in the forest then in the open and the trail gets quite a bit of use but some times its dead. and people dont really explore around the woods alot they just stick to the trail.

when your looking for a spot, if your in a rainy place look for a slope if your in a hot humid place at the bottom of a hill and dig bowl shapes around your plants to help collect water. also look into nearby rivers you can easily water plants with river water and all you gotta have is a battery, waterhose, and an external water pump then gets ta growin!

ps plant between 5-7 feet apart and with similar foliage and keep in mind how tall your plants will grow ive had a guerilla patch uncovered once because the plants got too tall and lost about 12 plants safety first!!!
