I need advice since I stopped using chemical fertilizer and switched to organic. In my last two harvests I could see the difference in the yield (negative consequences). I used bone meal but molds or a kind of fungus appeared on the ground. I need you to tell me how to effectivly apply bone meal. Do I need to prepare it and leave it out like stationed for a couple days before adding it to the pot? I would appreciate any help you all could give me.
Peace

Top dressing does require mixing the meal into the top inch or so of soil. Not just sprinkling it onto the top. Just be gentle and try to disturb surface roots as little as possible. With alot of organics its best to incorparate them into the medium beforehand IMO. They are slower releasing than most chemical ferts making it easier to control. Mixes such as Subcools 'Supersoil' recipie. It takes alitte patients and experimentation to get your mix tuned into your garden but its worth the effort in the end.
