Well, well, well.... It's time to embark on my journey of growing Ganja inside of my home. After scavaging through the net and this site like an old ragged archaeologist looking for the fountain of youth, I think I finally have the works. I have grown weed outside easily and successfully, sorry no pics, always been kinda hidden that way.

But my first try earlier in the month inside was utter failure to put it simply. I will however be adding pics of the 4 plants of an unknown strain that have finally germinated and have been placed into the pot just now.

All I know of this strain is, I saved the seeds cause it got me high in a relaxing way, not in a paranoia type way, it was good shit, resinated well not many seeds, got like 30 out of a QP.

Okay now for the specifics. I have a 200 gal. aquarium, setup for my Leopard Ghecko, Dagger. The cabinet it sits on has a door (of course), and the inside is roughly 4 feet high by 3 feet wide.

I got an old ps2 fan and spliced a 120 volt charger into the wiring, which by doing that, made the fan blow at least 7 x's harder, perfect actually. I cut a hole in the back of the inside of the cabinet and screwed the fan in, then cut another hole on the opposite side for my exhaust area.

I covered the entire inside with termite shield ( aluminum sheeting) and reflective metal tape. It looks like the it was professionally done! IMO :)

I also have a temperature and humity monitor.

For lighting, I will be using 4 23 watt CFL bulbs with 6500k color temperature for veg process. I have 2 each on a Y Socket.

For flowering, I have set aside 4 42 watt CFL bulbs with 2700k color temperature which is subject to change to HPS if I don't like the results.

I WILL NOT, be using nutes for awhile for the soil base is pretty good I made. It is a mixture of 25-20% perlite with regular potting soil and some maybe 5 % goat/cow manure compost from summer. It's bascially just rich soil, with worm dirt added in. I think any more nutes will hurt the plants so I will stray away.

I will be adding pics as the process comes along. As long as I can yeild ne thing at all from this I will be happy, Im not trying to win a Cannabis Cup, just tryin' to get some bud, for I havent had none in months, so patience is gonna have to be a vurtue I use greatly.

If all fails, then at least I didnt give up at the end of this. Wish me luck, as I wish all of you luck as well!

What did ya do with the gecko?

We have two fat-tailed orange leopard geckos, Lady and the Tramp. lady is a giant and 12 months old, Tramp is a young male, 4 months old, both love each other too. Lady likes to get out of the tank and Tramp hastes to be handled or to be out in the open.

Yeah its under the aquar. cabinet, so actually its good for him above the aquarium cause the heat :) It's like a nice heating pad for him. So it's under it, inside the storage area.

Dagger is like 4 years old, I was thinking of getting him a mate, but I dont know, he's soo used to just me, he may fight with it lol.

Sounds like you have a good idea of how to grow inside. You will run into issues I'm sure, but with RUI behind you I'm sure you will get some nice smokable buds. People will tell you to change out the 2700k CFL's for an HPS but I use the same setup as you do with lights only I do a homade DWC in my closet. Good Luck and Rep up!

Yeah it just depends on how good they do, im just looking for a decent grow nothing great. I mean yeah, everyone wants the best, but Im gonna try to work with what I got then go from there. From what ive seen on here, what I have will work great cause of the space Im using. I mean if I really wanted to in a 4 foot area I could have over 20 k in Kelvin, just with my CFL's

Okay,I got some pics up. I turned on the 6500k, but I turned them off cause I dont know if I supposed to put the light on them yet since the seeds havent shed off.

How long should I wait before I turn lights on, if I suppose to?

You can see the area Im working with, my fan, everything. This is just for starters. Notice I have the 2700k ones right there, im thinking of putting them up too, but I think the small area im growing in, im fine.

I had to scratch the termite shield and just use some foil cause it kept fallin down and I didnt want to damage my aquar setup.

Here I go lol!:bigjoint:

In nature, in the soil, seeds pop up looking for the lights.
So that means light pronto? also, should I wet the soil to kinda cave in the loose areas that can be aound the sprout?

I prolly already know the answers, I just feel better making sure from other people, I guess you can call me a cautious optimistic lol!

Okay update time. I am actually very pleased with the use of this space and the power this small space is givin these seedlings. This is the first time Ive really grown indoors and I used the advice of this forum and the 6500k with the reflection, has these looking good thus far.

The seeds germ'd in like 3 days, but some of these have got full red strong stalks and nice thicks first leaves in just 2 days, this is the best my indoors grows have looked in the begining, health wise. I just pray it continues. I will be constructing a flowereing room as the process plays it's out. The pictures below are in order is you read the titles of the pics. Any critiques or tips are fully welcomed.

BTW, I think the strain im growing is mostly a Sativa, for I saved these seeds for the great burst of energetic creativity it gave me!

Sorry, my camera is not the best, but I got what I got.

Looking Good. Put those lights down like as close to the cups as you can to avoid stretching.

Okay, this is day 6 after germination. I don't know all the standards, but to me they look okay. The only thing I dont like is my weather station monitor keeps saying my temp is 87 and the humidty is 33.8.

Is that a problem? As you can see I got a bigger fan now and I turn around the Ps2 120 volt added fans the other way to create exhaust, I think I went too far with the metal tape, I literally have everything covered in metal tape. Pics are below.

I am planning on getting some perlite and some vitamin b-1 for the transplant to help with the rooting.

Im gonna add like 60 % perlite cause Ive seen some good results with some that have used alot of it.

I'm just along for the ride man. I've only ever grown hydro and soil may peak my interest once I can afford a couple acres. Looking good though, hope to see some danky results.

Ty bro! Yeah, I live on 50 acres, so I got woods and nature usually does it for me.
First time ive tried indoors, I wanna go hydro, but I figure I should learn the basics first, cause Im still tryin to figure all this out.

:weed: Update: They are 10 days old and looking pretty good IMO.

I have some 7 day old ones in the 1st pic you can see, they are starting to take off as well. I will update again after they are 3 weeks old. Hopefully, Lord willing they will do fine.

I mist the leaves and underneath twice a day. Im gonna only water every 3-5 days. I think the extra perlite added; 60 perlite 40 soil is making all the difference, for this is the best indoor grow out of my 2 I have had seeing the 1st was a failure. I used regular bulbs when I knew nothing, but now the CFL'S have not stretched the plants at ALL. They really do work. I will knock on wood for its still early.

I don't use a ph meter so I soaked some egg shells in a jar for a week and when I added the water on the plants, the ones that recieved it, shot up awesome! That is something to keep in mind, I know it works when I grow outside really good.

The stems were a purple color, but now slowly there are patches of greenish barky color startin to shed.

If anyone knows what strain this looks like please help me out, I greatly appreciate it.

Merry Christmass and Happy Holidays to all!
