Promix soil, anyone use it?

For my first grow, plants have been in rockwool for about a week and are starting to show roots. I am planning on using Promix soil from my local shop, they do not have Fox Forrest or anything fancy just basic soils.

Will promix work ok? Should I go for any specific NPK to start my 2" plants in?
What should I buy for cheap nutes online?

Thanks guys in advance

Im no expert, but I think people who use pro-mix add in their own nutrients and perlite. There is a thread somewhere for Danny Danko's soil mix. Think it calls for bat guano and bone meal.

thanx man! getting some promix today!
Subcool has a very good recipe for soil that includes promix as the base. There should be a thread on here somewhere. It was also in an issue of HT, you can check their site. Putting all the ingredients together, however, can be a little expensive.:leaf:

i have always used the bails of sunshine mix #4 because it has nothing in it, lately started using Bcuzz , because its all i can get close by. Never liked promix personally but could just be me..
