proper promix ph

just want to know what ph I should be watering with. there is conflicting answers everywhere. my tap come out 7.0 maybe a little higher I use one of the liquid test kits so kinda hard to tell. would 5.6 to 6.2 be about right?

the basic information states that the proper ph level for hydroponics is 5.8
the proper ph for soil is 6.2.
this is to allow for the consumption of all nutrients in your mixture for optimal growth as certain nutrients are only able to be used at certain ph levels.
most people however tend to let it fluxuate from slightly below, to slightly above in either situation to allow a larger window of absorption.

long story short. 5.5-6.5 is pretty much good as long as you start at 5.5 and let the water go up to 6.5, so the whole range of minerals can be absorbed. IF you feel like being exact @5.8/6.2 do it. i would still suggest some flux and adjust every as need be.

nothing as of yet there still young there in a mix of promix, bat guano, blood meal, bone meal, lime, Epsom salt, worm castings will prob run floranova grow and bloom
jman how is this working out for you? I planted my seed a couple days ago in just promix out of the bag and it sprouted in about 24 hours and is now about 1" 1/4..Im thinking about getting some additives like the ones you listed for when I transplant it into a bigger pot
