Proposal M

Its not legal to grow it is it...I think its just legal to have an oz on private property...This wasn't passed so people could make profits...Just so peoples lives don't get ruined from a possession charge if they are lets say in the privacy of their own home and firing up a joint.

I also believe there are a large amount of people in Flint, and Detroit that are considered low income. Therefore, they might not be able to pay 200 for a medical card even if they do have a qualifying condition.

I also believe the majority of voters in these areas have smoked at least once, or know someone who has smoked before and realize that marijuana is not lethal, and has numerous benefits.

GTG Obama is about to give his speech.

According to Fox 2 News "Beck from the Coalition for Safer Detroit is responsible for the initiative. He says passing Prop M will allow Detroit police to solve real problems instead of chasing what he calls victimless crimes."

It is still illegal to grow and sell, its just legal now to posses up to one once on private property. You still have much more freedom being a state approved patient but this is still a step in the right direction.

It should be more momentum for mj.
The higher courts had another opportunity to see how voters feel.

I was pleased to see the large margins that some of these passed. Used to be the votes just squeaked by.

I figured that was the case. I just feel like it gives schuete another bone to pick with the mmj community because the easiest connection for him to make is the mmj community is supplying non medical patients in Michigan's biggest city. I hope he doesn't and all goes well but I know he's always looking for something. Not that it didnt happen before last night but now M passed its easier for schuete to scare the public with.

Oh he'll have something to say about all of this, for sure. Starting with the conflict with Federal law. Some state officials take compliance with the will of the people seriously. Some follow their own narrow political agenda.
