Pruning Advice?

I've got 10 auto-flower plants outside right now and NEED pruning advice. I've read that you shouldn't do any pruning 1 month before a marijuana plant goes into flowering. Well, since autoflower plants skip flowering should I even prune? If I was going to prune I would just cut off any lower/excess branches that weren't getting light and therefore robbing the upper growth of energy and nutrients. Also, before I read this I was going to top my plants after the 2nd or 3rd set of leaves sprouted, but now I'm wary about even doing that because of what I've read. So ultimately, should I top my plants and should I cut the lower branches on my plants even though they're an autoflower strain?

I'm an absolute nooby grower, but i bought some auto's recently myself. The most i'd do with them (since you don't know when they'll start flowering) is LST and maybe FIMing 1nce or a few times.. but again, havent grown any yet.

No pruning, topping or femming autos. Didn't you post this already? Sweet Jesus, boy. This isn't some emergency. Stop posting the same damned question in multiple threads. Don't be a doorknob. Everybody gets a turn on those.

What hotrodharley said although i slightly disagree with the pruning part, only prune HUGE leaves that block bud site but not all of em.If i was you id just lst it.i have to cut maybe 2-3 HUGE Fan leaves a week and it doesn't effect the growing since the branches have their own and pretty big 1's,but don't prune a autoflower unless u really need to and never while its vegging cause it still does veg.

Okay man chill out, I put the question in general marijuana growing, no one responded for a while, and so I thought no one was responding because I put it in the wrong category. So, I moved my autoflower question out of general growing and into autoflower. Sorry to have angered you

Yeah, considering what everyone is saying I think I'll just let the autoflowers grow themselves, no pruning or topping at all because if I pruned and fucked up the plant that would suck and there's no reason for me to be getting greedy on my first grow. It's not like I'm selling it on the black market

they say not to top your autos but a guy on here by the name of '808killahz' topped his and had an increase in yeild, its up to you man but it might not recover in time..

i had a fk up with pruning recently, pruned some fan leaves, i was recommend its best to let it develop then prune only the secondary leaves coming off the buds causing shading to lower buds,

when my plants mature a bit past seedling, when it becomes a 'plant' i remove the very first set of branches at the bottom of the plant that wont develop anyway and then just let the rest go

huge leaves that block light are needed , when the plant goes into preflower stretch it will grow out and stretch and those leaves will no longer be in the way

LST is your best bet when dealing with auto's , if you pull the top down then there is almost nothing getting blocked,
seedling > veg > preflower> veg > vertical stretch stops and the plant enters flower
5 weeks or so of the plants life is veg

put a pocket of seed starter in your final pot that is filled with 1/3 potting soil 1/3 perlite and 1/3 peat add a couple tablespoons of lime per gallon of soil , water with a squirt bottle until the plant has a few sets of leaves , then water shallow like 1/2 a cup every 24 hours or so , start feeding around 3 weeks or 5 nodes at 1/4 the str suggested on your nutes ...... they are kinda set it and forget it ..... aslong as youre not drowning them or just majorly F'n up they will still yield ..... i started 3 afghan kush ryders for the auto party cup they all stayed in party cups for 2 weeks until i decided which to use , the two i transplanted both yielded 3-4 oz's even after being in party cups for 2 weeks and being transplanted ..... they like being dry and being fed very bland meals other then that they are pretty noob proof IMO

under fed / watered is better than over when it comes to auto's.... most people just lack in the research dept. and jump straight in the deep end

i figured 3 days and dry up to knuckle was time to water, and fro my under standing you cant over water ewhen your plant is needing water just doing it to much is bad

you gotta go by weight of the pot the top will dry but a auto's roots have to search for water if the bottom is water logged then the root stays above the water logged section and stunts
