PRUNING QUESTION!! PLEASE HELP ME

I have a quick question regarding pruning/lollipopping while in flower. I attempted to lollipop a bit in the last week of veg but as they are flowering I realize I didn't remove near enough and I have a shit ton of little popcorn sites at the bottom of the plants. I do not want these I would rather have all my nutes and energy go towards the top colas. So the question is is it to late to remove some of the lower bud sites? My girls are on DAY 18 of flower. Will this cause to much shock if I remove the lower buds this late in flower? SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME AN ANSWER AS TIME IS IF THE ESSENCE.. Thanks in advance

I usually wait until the stretch is over and buds are starting to develop which happens around day 21, just do a little at a time and wait about 5-6 days and do more. I went crazy as a test and did a lot at once and it definitely put the plants in shock but when I did a little at a time the plants didn't seem to skip a beat. Your around that time for pruning as long as the buds are starting to show if not wait.

I pruned few lower bud sites off around day 14 or so of 12/12. Not toof much defoliation just enough for light to get to the lower branches along with cutting off all the lower growth and they exploded in the following days.

AWESOME GUYS!!! Great advice and I really appreciate it!!! They are showing great bud production already and I seem to have done a great job topping them and super cropping them and a little LST.. They are bushy as hell. I will start to remove the lower branches tomorrow I beleive.. Should I do it right when the lights come on? Or right before they go off? Or does it even matter? And hey JESUS OF CANNABIS how do I make medibals with the trimmings?

P.s
There are white hairs everywhere on these girls

Hey it's fine. Take off what isn't getting much light. I've never had a problem.
Maybe space it out, a few nodes every other day, but if you have a well established plants with nice canopies, I don't see a problem.

In the future, try to anticipate the unwanted nodes in veg, clip em then.

But yeah you're good just prune em

Ok thanks man I really appreciate the advice. My lights come on in a bit then I will start trimming a little tonight and space it out throughout the next 3 days. And yes next time will most definitely anticipate a lot better than I did this time on what to trim so I do not have to do much if any in flower

Its not too late to remove them. Plants will be perfectly fine, doesnt matter when you do it. I do most of my work normally right when the lights come on but it doesnt make a difference

Oh ok.. Well I'm gonna go ahead and assume you don't want to be doing in the dark period as you DO NOT want to disturb there sleep cause I'm pretty sure not a single person can trim there girls in the pitch dark or without ruffling them around a bit. So by you saying it doesn't matter at all I assume you mean as long as the lights are on

Yea, as long as the lights are on. I never enter my rooms during the dark period unless something has to be sprayed. In which case I have a green LED rope light on the ceiling so I can see. 99% of the time I don't have to spray anything, just for emergencies

Ive found you can do major trimming during the 1st 3 wks of flower, without any ill effects. You can do minor work after this point, but why, It's best to have it figured out prior to day 21.

Always trim with the lights on. Don't trim too tight to the parent branch or stalk, leaving a little stub is perfect.
