So a couple of the leaves on my plant are yellowing, spotting. I pulled them off. What will this do if anything?

Lower leaves die and fall off as the plant grows, I wouldn't worry about it, pulling them off is fine.

If you pull off the wrong one the plant will deflate...

Seriously though. The plant can drop a leaf at any time it wants to. Gently move the damaged leaf up and down and if it is ready to come off it will easily break off at the stem. Dont go cutting off leaves that the plant is still using even if they are not pretty. The leaves are the bud factories.

should b e ok. I dont pull or cut any leaves off ,as the plant has to use some energy into repair at that site where u tore the leaf.(if the leaf was ready to fall, it would have). If it falls off naturally ,no wasted energy

Be extra careful, if you pull off the wrong fan leaf, your plant might shoot off like a deflating balloon! I get rid of any fanleaves that don't look good and are no longer of any use to the plant. Sometimes if my hedge gets to thick I'll trim a little, but only if it is to thick. I use a F&D lava rock table so when the table is flooded I can lean them over and rearainge them by moving them by their roots.
