Purchasing COBS in the UK?

So, after months of research, decided on my cobs & driver's and opted to purchase them from mouser, because I thought they were the simplest option(no import taxes etc).

Here's the warning for UK buyers, the prices DO NOT include VAT and unless you read the terms and conditions, you don't see this added until after you have made your purchase.

Anyone else from the UK care to share their experiences of purchasing Cree COBs, I would love to hear from them, cos these were bought for my prototype and I need about 30 more cobs for my main build.

I'm in the UK and found they had higher bins and cheaper leds buying from Jerry at Kingbright. I recieved the order in under a week and have never had the problem of import tax from china/Hong Kong. I imagine if your buying 30 Cobs and drivers to go with them he would be able to sort you out for far less than what mouser are asking.

Hiya. Talk to Jerry Meng @Kingbrite! He has been supplying this community with COB's and drivers for a good while now. Excellent customer service and low prices :) I don't recall anyone here who has had problems with ordering from him.
Oh, and make sure it's Kingbrite, not Kingbright...
Best of luck with your build mate :) 30 COB's... that sounds like a beast! hehe

I have purchased COBs from Newark (stupid postage price and VAT/duty added) and Fasttech in China (no vat or duty). I also had some drivers from Mouser. By far the best option for me has been Kingbrite. I received 16 CXB3590 and 3 driver from Jerry and only paid £16 duty. I have another 8 CXB on the way next week.

Cheers,
Will

I used DHL and the value was below import duties. China post would be cheaper but I think if it is lost you can not claim.
Cheers,
Will
