Purple CFLs? Emission follows photosynthetic curve...

So i just stumbled on these:
nlite cfl's

Have a look down at the "Bio tropic" bulbs...

Their emissions match up perfectly with exactly what plants need -- the photosynthetic absorption curve.

Thoughts? Anywhere to buy them?

yea i tried to buy them as well but the only place i could find was switzerland. but seemingly mixing red and blue spec envirolites is just as good. say like 1 200w blue and a 200w red instead of one 400w HPS. and its also a fraction of the power used by a 400w HPS.

i never got the purple enviro so i just use a red and blue spec for flowering, or a HPS/MH two bulb system for budding. :joint::mrgreen:

I'm trying to do this low-heat, so i'm staying away from MH/HPS for now...

Combining the red and blue spectrums seems to work well though?

nope u should use the red and the purple..... ! not red and blue..... Trust me !!!!!

Red and Purple the whole way !!!!!! in veg make the purple more dominant.... and in flower make the purple more dominant.

No, but i'm looking at them. I can't decide what i think about them yet. And i can't find them anywhere, not the high-wattage ones anyway...

Their emission spectrum confuses me, haha. it's kinda strange...

yea its a good wide spec iam gonna get one soon as poss. see a HPS is only for the 4 weeks just before flushing cause its stressful for the plants. you use a MH for the first 2 weeks of flowering. you need more blue in the spec for flowering than the HPS will give out.

 it's not wide spec, but it does cover some of the blue...

ok, so i just looked around more and it seems like there are CMH bulbs with all sorts of different emission spectra. That's really strange...
