The "Purple Jems" are one week old. They all broke ground on the 8-10th of this month.I have 8 or so mature plants of different ages finishing now.By the time the P. Jems show sex the older plants will be nearly done.I generally dont like to tansplant auto-flowers but in this case I will.

I will transplant them to a 2 gallon black plastic 1-3 plants in each.My flower room holds 6 of these containers.I have some suplimental lighting as well to help out my 250w HPS.Pictures are below.

The Sturple is about 2 weeks from harvest. It received it's final feeding over the weekend. It will be harvested in about 2 weeks.I don't do a final flush. The reason is two fold.#1. I flush autos at day 40-50.I do this to remove excess salt build up an high in nitrogen grow nutes used during the 1st feeding at 18-24 days.

The second reason is I think a late flush slows growth considerably in autos. In tests I've done I get bigger buds by allowing the plant to use up the nutes available by timing my final feeding 2 weeks before harvest. This allows the plant to grow the entire 10 weeks yet it is nearly nutrient free at harvest. With proper curing there is no noticeable difference except the buds are bigger.

I decided to trim some of the lower branches off the taller plants.I also raised some of the shorter plants to even the canopy up.Once this cycle is done I will be growing all one strain during each cycle to maximize efficiency.

hows it comin along bro? I love doing seed production, if you need good collidal silver you should hit homegrown RX. I just finished an autoblueberry x fastbud x himilayan blue diesel cross. predominitly auto blueberry. smells like blueberry muffins exactly, its the most realistic smelling bud ive ever had. Id love to get my hands on some jems. Ive heard there are a few different pheno's hopefully you will have a few super purple ones to cross with eachother. keep me updated.

Thanks for dropping in.I have narrowed the Purple Jems to 7 plants. There may be 1 male left.I had nearly 30 plants at the start.A high percentage of males due to higher than normal temps. As long as I have 4-6 females they will fill my flower room in 8 more weeks.

Please keep the thread updated. I will start my first auto-grow with these purple jems in a few weeks from now :) I'll order them from the attitude. Do you think they will feel good in a balcony with a southern position ? They will be exposed to direct sun light for at least 8-9 hours a day.

Sounds like a good plan.A balcony grow is exactly the type of thing autos are good for.I had to move plants due to a security issue. The larger ones are about 2 weeks from harvest and the Jems are sexed and about 4 weeks old. There are 6 of them. They reside in an out building with sky lights allowing lots of natural light inside.

I wanted the PJs so bad but they were out of stock when I went to grab a week or so ago. As soon as my auto seeds arrive I plan on using similar lights. Question- how much does your lights run you a month (roughly)?

With the fans and my cfls plus the 250w hid Im pulling just under 500w.Just based on my bill before and after $30 is pretty close to the monthly increase.

try this electric apliance calculator it's pretty cool.

since this is a seed making run (fro what i gather from the title) is it possible to use photo pollen to dust a auto branch and would those seeds develop photo tendencies or maintain the auto propeerties

Photo x auto = all photo offspring. These offspring will carry the recessive trait of auto flower.Breed the seeds to each other & you get some autos.Breed these seeds again with the other seeds that exhibit the auto trait. With selective breeding you keep picking the plants that auto flower and you will eventually weed the photo trait out.The idea is to keep the potency of the photo you started with but in auto flower form.
