Purple kush not turning Purple

This is the second time I've grown Purple Kush and it still hasn't turned purple. I live in Cali near the beach and I've been using soil and Humboldt country nutrients. Is there any way to influence a change in color?

The only things I know off is getting your temps really low at night, but normal during the day. But mostly it's genetics and phenos. Even though you have a purp strain doesnt guarantee you wont get that one pheno with no purps.

From what i have seen with the purps. temps did more than using something like purple max. How far along are you? i wouldnt worry about color till a few weeks before the end.

You can lower temps at least 10-15 deg at night. and maybe push it even cooler the last two weeks. ( i wouldnt go to low before the last week or two).

I am going to try the ice water flush. using only ice water the last 2-3 days of a flush, along with lower night temps. I will let you know how that goes soon. Its supposed (i think havent done it yet) give a final shock to roots causing some last min crystal production and additional color change. Gonna try it let you know.

Yeah let me know that sounds like a cool trick if it works! Since I live near the beach I have no Ac thus I can't lower the temperature. Its about 5 weeks in right now and looks just like the other strains. I'm hoping this one turns purple, doesn't really make that much difference but does make it look cooler :bigjoint:

The breeder might not have locked down the purple phenotype. How many plants are you growing?

Okay checked out newest batch of purple. And used Purple max this time. And its Dark purple, way more than any other batch. (temps have been down a little lower than past).
I Did the ice water flush , saw some more crystals but nothing major. not real color change since it was all ready 99 percent purple.
I saw no ill effects to using ice water to flush the last three days.

also it took 3 weeks before any results from purple max. and cant say the snow storm effect helped any for crystals.
