Purple Stem

Hey,

I'm doing another little Easy Bud auto from RQS for fun. Planted on May 9th, got 2 serrated leaves and the 2 cotyledons (seed leaves) are all fine. It's about 1 and a half inches tall, in soil under a couple of CFL's but I notice the stem is a purple/pink kind of transparent looking, I have done some research before posting this and it seems it is normal during the seedling phase but could also be a deficenty. I doubt it's a deficiency this early on. I Have also read it could be due to night time temps getting to low but at night my area does not get below 21 Degree's Centigrade so I doubt it's too cold either.

Is it "probably" just normal for a seedling to get a purple/pink kind of stem?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Purple stalks are indicative of a Cal-Mag deficiency as well as purpling on the veins of your fan leaves. Even the darkest of purple strains will have green stalks if grown correctly. Although at this stage I'd wait and see if the problem alleviates itself as the root zone matures and is able to absorb minerals more efficiently.
