Purple stems on the Fan Leafs

Crazy, the lights are so shiney because they have such deep green pigment, that when the flash from the camera goes off it shows up in the pictures as shiney. They only look that way in the photos. But most likely this deep Pigment that is reflecting the Camera Flash is also Reflecting the HPS light also, which is not good.

I went and had a long talk with one of the Hydro store ownewrs close to where I live about this. I told him everything that had happened, and everything i have done.

This is his suggestions. That when I added the Bush Master, it overloaded my plants. He said that this crap is ultra strong, and that he never suggests that it be used. He even tries to talk people out of it.
He suggest that I continue what I am doiing now for 7-10 days, then slowly start building back up, He also told me to drop back to just one Flood per day on my Flood and drain system. Make the plant use up as much of th nuts in the cube as possible now. Then after this is done, just drop back to Advanced Sensi Bloom A&B, Calmage, and then add some B-52at 50%, and maybe some CARB.

My plants look the same, but for the leafs comeing out of the buds are having some lighter green at the start of the leaf now. The Buds continue to grow pretty good. But the plants to not gather height like they should at all.. HENCE WHAT THE OTHER HYDRO STORE HAD SAID TO MY QUESTION WHEN i ASKED...."HOW DO I SLOW DOWN THE GROWTH OF MY PLANTS" Bush Master is what he suggested.

Anyone else have suggestions of intellegence, I would really like to hear them.

I have wnet to the Hydro store to buy a Booster SHot of (P). I told him what had happened and what was going on now. He said just lay off the feeding to Once per day for a week, and build from there, with the flushing and lower of PPM that had been done.

Please.. Ideas from the Bud Master's out there... Even if I do not take the advice, I would like the Advice.

Thanks,
LDB

You know. I do not see very many people giving a grow journal with troubled grows, late in stage, at least starting them this way.

So here goes my Flood and Drain Flowering for 20ish days, I will figure later Journal.

So here is what I have got. I got 6 northern light Clones in a Flood and drain system, and their mother in a WaterFarm System. So two different Reseviors. I will show you the different plants.

Flood & Drain WAS on Anvanced Sensi Bloom A&B, VooDoo Juice,Humbolt Counties BUSH MASTER, SensiZygeme, Calmag, and Liquid carbo load. The first week of flower wat at about 800PPM with all of this except the bushmaster. Things were good. Then in the second week I did a res. change and also added the BUSH MASTER, and raised the total PPM to about 1100. This is when my plants went into deep green droopy mood. I have since Flushed them well with R/O water, and the added a Soup mix to the rez tank of Sensi Bloom A&B, Calmag, and Big Bud & 650 PPM right now, and lowerd the flooding to twice a day, now I am thinking about going once a day. Give the roots LOTS of oxygen in hope of eating a lot of Nutrients. Seeing as I have plenty of light this might be possible. That with me starving them, maybe they will eat that CRAPPY BUSH MASTER, and we can get past this.. we can only see.

Any different suggestions, please feel free to give them.

I am in an area I have never been in. But I would not have been here, if I listened to the people tell me not to change things to much. Built on what works.

I not only changed the base nuts of my mix, but I changed most of the additives also.

WOW!!! What a DUMB ASS!!!!!!

Anyway, back to the Bud Journal. I screwed the pooche, Now I need to turn it around. I am open for intellegent suggestions. I really feel I need to be able to LEECH this plant faster. The body of the plant is holding to many toxin's. BULLSHIT it does not need. In My belief it does not have a defieciency, it has an overload. with out the massive burns.

I need to just balance out the plant, by lowering to adjust.. noit raiseing to adjust, which way to many people do.

STARVE THAT BITCH I WILL!!

But please, biggest harvest I have had to this date, that has went to CRAP this way. Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Got to admit though. They do look a little better, now after the FLUSH.. And those buds are not bad for 19 days of 12/12.

Time will tell, I will show pictures, at least once week.

This will be the story of the Man who poisoned his own plants, and how his love for them might have, might not have saved those plants.

The plants seem to be coming back slowly. If you look closely at the last two pictures, you can see the color starting to lighten up in the leafs. These Plants have been in flower stage now for 20 days. I will do another Rez change out this week end, raising the PPM to about 800 with a little B52 added.

If it was just the purple stems I would not say anything. But there are 4 different signs. Purple fans stems, Candy Caned Fan Leafs, DARK Fan Leafs, and Ram Horned Bud Site Leafs. I have a few crops under my belt, but have never had all these things happen at once. And I do not want it to get out of control. This is a nice crop right now. But i know how things can get out of control if let unchecked. This all started since I entered flowering stage.

The dark leafs might be over nuts, but I was only at 1200PPM total in second week, and only 850 in the first week, so this I highly doubt. Maybe this is nothing. I have changed over to Advanced Nutrients two Part A/B. So maybe this is just the way the plants look with this type of NUTS. Time will tell. Tonight I did drop back to watering only 3 times a day, (Hydro) Maybe more oxygen to the roots will help. I did Add BIG BUD to the soup tonight also. 0-10-40 This should raise the Phosphorus. And then next weekend I will pump out the 40 gallon res. and do a good flush with straight PH'd water 3 times a day for 2-3 days, and then start with fresh soup. Maybe I am getting a little Lock-up. All in All, They are budding really nice, and the trichs are already forming nicely also, So I do not want to do anything to extreme as of yet. My first harvest I had a bad Calcium deficiency, and i got a nice harvest out of that one.

I would be so much better off, If i took as good of care of myself, as I do my plants.
Yea i use advanced nutes in hydro and i have the purple fan leave stems and other symptoms your talking about id say flush with water when yellowing to much nitrogen

10X10, did you look at the earlier pictures? Yellowing leafs was not the concern, it was the deep dark green leathery fan leafs that twisted, and the Rams Horn Bud Leafs. I do think I raised to PPM to soon though also. I should have went easier on the nuts, especially since I changed to a totally different product. Plus I added that DAM BUSH MASTER>>>:spew:

Here are a few new pictures of the my plants recovery. Tehy seem to be doing good at this time. New growth is showing signs of improvement. And the buds have continued growing nicely.

I will be doing a Rez Change tomorrow, once I have picked up the B52.

I will be adding Sensi Bloom two part, Calmag, B52, Overdrive, and Bigbud, at about 900 PPM. Then next week I might try like 1100.

These plants are 23 days into flowering stage now.

PH is kept at 5.7-5.9. Smokere read from the beginning for what all has been going on. All the information on this grow is in this thread, even the reason for the problem with the plants. Which was not a mineral, or Nut deficiency. I added Bush Master to my mix, which My nuts are new also. The Bush Master whacked out my plants. If you look at the plants closely, there is one plant that has nice healthy leafs, this is the only one that is in a seperate resivor, and never got any bush master. On the bottle, it even says that the product is still experimental. I will be going to KISS route again.

I did, and I just re-read it trying to find out if you listed the ph and I still don't see it. The only reason I mention something about ph is I have a digital meter. I did my little deal of calibrating it and whatnot and according to the meter the ph was right. I knew something was wrong, so I bought another one. Turns out my ph was 4.0 instead of 6.0. My white russian had purple stems and the leaves where really droopy and kind of curled over. They look a 100x better since I got the ph right.

Hmmmm. I think tomorrow, I will take my digital PH meter to the Hydro store to make sure it has the same reading as theirs. I have been keeping in calibrated, but maybe that is just at that PH number. Now I am going to do it for sure, thanks for the NUDGE SmokerE.

But they are doing much better since I did my changes.

I'll be really interested to hear the outcome of this.

Well, just got back from the Hydro Shop with my PH meter. First he took some regualr tap water, put his meter in it, it read 7.5, he put mine in, it read 7.5. Then he took some of that 4.0 PH calibration liquid, He put his in, it said 4.0.. DAM!!!! Mine said 4.1.. I would say that is pretty accurate to me.

It does give me peace of mine though. My meter is about 8 months old, and I was thinking the same thing you talked about just a couple of weeks ago.

SmokerE, My last Crop, I ended up with a single plant indoors that was close to 7' tall, and about 3 1/2' Dia. and bushy as hell, it was a freaking house of Horror. I did not want this to happen again, so I asked a Hydro shop owner what I could add to keep the plant shorter, He said Bush Master is the answer. Well When I added this CRAP, I also upped the PPM.. (second week of flower). I think it was a mixture of that Bush Master CRAP, and upping the PPM to fast.

I usually only up the PPM about 150-200 each rez change until I am at Max PPM. But this time I jumped almost 500 PPM. :wall:

A few more photos of my ladies. They seem to be doing ok. Wish FDD would move this to the Journal Forum. Or maybe I should just move there and place a thread where people can click on to read the rest which is here. Any suggestions?

My next crop is going to be White Berry from Dr. Chronic. I will do a full Journal on that grow.

These are Northern Light, from NIRVANA.......

This is kind of like a journal of what not to do, and then what might bring it back around......hahahahahaha

Edit: somehow I deleted the Photos today. I found this file that had the photos I have on these threads. I never knew you could delete phots you have in threads.. COOL!!!
