nothing major; i would transplant the first 6 to 10 incs of the plant and take off the leaves that get buryd.

No need to bury the stem. It just isn't reaching that certain level of maturity. They should go green soon.
Unless you have very cold temps, then that could be the problem.

there seems to be no definitive answer to why some plants have purple stems, ive heard you cant get it from using fluros but yet ive seen people growing out in the sun that have purple stems
but it doesnt seem to harm plants....
im curious too as my little sativa has gon really deep purple along the stem...

I have 4 white widow sprouts, 3 green stems, 1 purple. The purple one is growing fastest by far. Don't think it's a problem

i've heard that it's in the genetics and i've also heard it's a deficeincy. i have a strain thats always got purple stems and it puts out shit loads of big dense buds so i adopted the if it's not broke policy. wish the rest of it would turn purple too.

Agreed, it's hard to diagnose, because it can be caused by genetics, temps, influenced by lights, deficiencies, or too much nutes. At 2-3 weeks, the plant looks a little small so there is some kind of problem somewhere. We'd need more info to help further that that. :)
