Get the ones that are all stone not a piece of stone inlaid in plastic. I get 12 inch for under $3 at meijer. They clog but can be cleaned. Still, at that price I use them for only one grow. I have bought 2 boss hog diffusers I am using for my next grow, but enough regular stones with enough air works fine.

I was curious what you thought about diffusers. They work great in my bong so I was curious about their performance when I saw them at the hydro store! Would you replace them after each grow or are they a more permanent fixture compared to air stones? Mine don't ever clog, but they do need a good brushing with a green scrubber every now and then to keep those bubbles going crazy. However, mine are blue and I fear they may be the stone laid over plastic.

Keep me posted on those diffusers! I'm going to the hydro store today to get those strips/solution stuff for my pH and I'm gonna browse the air stones and diffusers area again. Perhaps some more spending is in order! :-P

I got a sale price on mine but they sell for $60 each and I'm using 2 of them. But they eventually pay for themselves because they do last. And they work much better. I advise newbs to go with stones because maybe they won't be using them that long. This is my method of growing so I know I'll be using them for years.

I bought this system due to the reviews on this post. DON'T buy stealth hydro bubbleponic system. It's poorly designed and very expensive. It was a harsh lesson. I beleived the posts here I read on this forum and forked over the dough. Man it's been non-stop work modifying the system to make it decent. and ......... still.....the net pots are way too small. Man I regret it. But I learned quite a bit on how NOT to design a system. hehehe.

Dude, you have been going around posting this everywhere, STOP!

What is this thread titled?? Duh...

We have been saying for a while now, down with the Ponics, and up with the Bubbles...

The bubbleponics gang left to some other board to spread the wisdom..

Loose the water pump and hoses, the bubbles is all you need..Make the reservoir light tight.

Wow! Thank you much for this post Illegal Smile! Reps to you for sure! I have spent the last several hours reading and re-reading this post and feel that I am the better grower for reading it. I really appreciate the knowledge that was shared by all here! This thread ROCKS or should I say BUBBLES!!!

This is by far the simplest method I have ever seen!

You mentioned that you use about 400 watts of Fluorescents, do you also use the “blooming bulbs” or just the HO 6500 bulbs?

Thanks again to all, Smuggler

I can only take credit for spreading the word. This method has been used by dwc growers for years. I am transitioning from all flourescent to leds with some cfls on the sides. But yes, you always want to shift to mostly red spectrum light when you go to 12/12. For cfls that means 2700k.

have to say, i'm a success! or rather had success :)

4 out of 4 clones rooted out just dandy. think i'm going to bulk up the feed a little bit now that there are healthy root systems in the water. also got another pair of pumps in the post this morning :)

Hey again, IS, you mentioned that you are trying an LED setup. Do you know anything about the new generation of 300 Watt triband (Red, Blue & Full Spectrum White) LED lights that are being sold on eBay? The seller is claiming that they are the equivalent of a 1,000 watt HPS. Has anyone here used one? Thanks again, S

I bought a 90w ufo from Sunlight Sheds. I'm using it with cfls on a small grow 3 weeks into flower. Too early to tell. I'm not familiar with the one you are talking about. I'm convinced there is both junk and good new technology out there. I don't believe it is the real world growing equivalent of 1000w hps.

about a half ounce i'd say.

ask a stupid question recieve a stupid answer :)

no reason it won't work. i'd say give it anoter airstone though.

A yield depends on so many things, lights, nutrients, method of growing (LST,topping, SOG) and amount of time vegging and flowering time not to mention seed verses clones or genetics. I have two air stones in my 4g res.

I am building my own Bubbleponic Kit
I'm going with a 25 Gallon Tote $16.25
2-3 Sunleaves 12" Air Stones $9.00
and getting http://htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=51179 $36
Would this work with my Digital Electronic Ultimate 600 watt HPS & MH Grow Light

I was thinking of having 6-8 Plants in my system at a time Thanks in advance

I'd rethink the 25 gal tote. Try to find one with the same size top but less depth. That is more water than you need and it will greatly increase the cost of nutes and the work in changing the res. Consider one with about 15 gal capacity that you will run 10-12 gal of water in. And you can put any lighting system over it.

i use the heat from my submerged water pump to maintain that good res temp, for cloning with a combi bubleponic, and sprayers it work great,i just 10 percent suces rate on cloning from flowering females ,bubble and sprayer ,is the best
i have about an inch between water surface sprayer and the airstones in water ,roots immense, ready for next cycle when i harvest current ilove it
