Q: Polyiso foam - reflective side in or out?

the attached picture is of the board that I have to nail up in order to contain heat and to protect from flybys. I plan to layer panda film on top. I just don't know whether or not to put the shiny side facing inward or outward. not really sure where to find an answer. thanks for the help in advance!:P:leaf::peace:

The metallic side faces outward. The reason is so it blocks radiant heat and IR further away from the space it is designed to insulate/protect.

I got that, later too..I wonder if you use it to black out a window, will that space between the glass and foil get super heated and melt the foam.

The shiny face is to help reflect the radiation.
If you want to keep radiated heat in the room shiny side in.
If you want to keep the sunshine radiation out, silver side out
I use double sided sheets and a cavity , all air through the floor.
