Quality Beans?

Is breeding easy? im assuming basically like the inheritence of traits you learned in school (phenos)....cross the best plants of each sex you have?
.
That's like asking Van Gogh if painting a masterpiece is easy. To him it is.
The actual process (the sex part) is easy. The breeder has to have the scientific knowledge of genetics, plus intuition and luck to succeed in creating something people will pay $10+ a seed.
There are actual books out there on Marijuana breeding.
I enjoy making seeds almost more than the buds, it's like playing God almost.
Reeferman had a pure G13 seed for sale last year but it sold out in DAYS.
I know he's going to have a remake of his famous G13 Haze as one of his final offerings.
OH yeah, Hemp Depot is closed till the 24th so you've got some breathing room on your order. E-mail him (Brad) to confirm your order he'll get back to you in hours not days.

So i've heard its a little hard to breed, ive been told to use a spoon with a little pollen, (after selecting the female&male with the characteristics you like) I just never really looked into it, what i've had to me hasnt been worth it.
But i've read multiple articles saying how G13, was used in a variety of crosses as the father.
And yeah the god part does sound rather enjoyable, i just want to breed some amazing bud (although all homegrown is simply amazing) so i can share my buds, with my buds.

that's impossible because true G13 is a clone only strain so it could only be the mother.
You might want to bone up on the seed making if your planning on buying quality genetics so that your not throwing out valuable males when you get them. I've mailed pollen to people thousands of miles away who made seeds with them and also received it in the mail too, to do the same.

do you know if there is a last batch of Willie Nelson in the pipe?
I don't know that, but if he has any brains he'd make more it was an extremely popular strain. Where you'd get them is another matter too. I made hundreds of my own but that's second generation not the same thing.
If it would make you feel any better it was not anything special really. Just a nice pleasant Sativa.

I read that it was possible to straight up abuse females to make them stressed, and turn into males. Im familiar with the lore of G13, I just read on the bank sites the crosses, many SAY(*whether or not its true I have no idea, just what I read*) that the father was of G13 genetics. Me and a friend whose been growing for a few years, are planning on starting breeding, just finding out which strains hold good qualities. Which is why the list you read, was decently large.

You have some strains i wouldnt mind getting my hands on, even those you've breeded yourself. Possibly sometime in the near future we could setup an arrangement across the border.

I was going to say, i'll be pissed off if the information ive been reading over carefully for the past month has been inaccurate :wall:

I've read good things about barney's seeds. At least on the germ rate, nothing about possible hermies or not. And i really wish you didnt tell me bad things about green house, their variety pack was going to be the first thing i ordered, simply because 5 strains, 2 seeds of each 1 pack, made everything seem a little bit easier for this whole breeding ordeal.

Hey, I feel your pain, I was hurt when I found out there was no Santa Claus just last year.
Why would you want contaminated genes with no males to make seeds with. Do some research don't believe me 'cause I have no personal experience I'm just passing on what I hear on the grapevine from some very reliable sources.
In the mean time buy the proven winners, you can grow everything at once.

True that, only way to find out if they're legit or not is to order i suppose.
I'll be sticking with serious for the kali mist/bubblegum.

Joey Weed claims his White Widow line is the original too.
Are you planning on buying all those seeds at once ? I know a guy who had an $1800 seed order seized by customs.

No i dont plan on ordering all at once, i'm reducing the strains down to 4 out of those i named off for the moment. I'm going thru the characteristics of each lovely lady from the given seedbank. I'm basically looking to breed some out of this world ladies, by crossing certain strains, over and over with the best out of each male and female, along with adding in a new mix to the batch.

Assuming everything works as it should, i'm looking to start off with a male from Barneys G13 selection, and a selected arjans ultra haze#2 female. Then later in the line adding in a either a male or female power plant from dutch passion.
