Quantum ballast?

Got the 600w dimmable Lumatek up and running at 50% with a Hortilux bulb...so far so good...

What's up guys any updates? All good still on the quantum front? I am thinking of taking the Digital leap.

bump.. I wanna know if the dimmable function actually reduces power usage.. cus I'm thinkin about gettin a quantum.

And how loud is the fan actually? Is it louder than a box fan on max speed setting?

I went with the Lumatek dimmable and according to my "kill-a-watt" meter it uses less power on the dimmable feature. The reason I went lumatek is the no fan thing the quantum's fan's were pretty loud and high pitched IMO.

The flip side is the Quantum's supposed to run just about any bulb the lumatek is not but I hae had no problems.

so yea.. does the quantum actually reduce power usage? I wanna know for sure before I drop $300... and another $100 on bulb..
