Contact hlg they are on the forum as well usually very quick to respond.. @Stephenj37826
Too late now. I already drilled and tapped the sinks to work for QB288's. If I ever decide to get couple QB324 panels I will have sinks that I can use! I wouldn't like to do the drilling and tapping again. It took about and hour but only because I had the tools handy. If it happens again I will consider asking HLG for an exchange for the ones that fit. I needed the light right away so I did what I could do to get it into service. Retired mechanic and long time Alaskan here. Making things work comes natural.

Just to be clear, what I got was 2 boards with 2 single heatsinks. I don't know anything about the double length heatsinks. My guess is that the sinks I got were drilled and tapped for some other configuration. Maybe 304 or 324? There were more mounting holes than are on the QB288's.
Please shoot us an email with your order number. We will get this fixed asap.

Thanks for the offer but I have modified the sinks so don't really need anything fixed now. Next time I order I will mention that I'd like the sinks that are drilled for the boards I buy. No worries or hard feelings, brother.

Hey guys what's the driver I need to get the max amount of my 288v2 lights? I was told 240-48 is that correct. It seems that would leave some on the table no? Thanks !

You don't say how many and if you want them parallel or in series

HLG-240H-48A would be maxed out on 2 qb288 V2...... It would work but you will be really taxing the driver. I would look at the hlg-320H- 2800 instead. Make sure at that power level you active cool the heatsink with a fan as the slate 2 singles/double are rated at about 135 Watts per foot passive cooled.

I will be useing one QB288 v2 and slate.
I would like to run it at 150 watts
I was recommended to use a Meanwell
Hlg-120-54a
But I see that it is a 120 watt driver.
Since it’s 2.3 amps, does the amps mean it will drive a QB288 at 150 watts????
Thanks

No cause it will max at 2.3ampx 54v= 124.2w

No it won't. The HLG-120-54A is the driver sold with HLG's 135w kit (that 135 is conservative). I have two, both of which exceed 160w at max. This "extra" current is typical for Meanwell A-series drivers.

I love this thread.

I want to buy four "QB324 V2 & SLATE 2 SINGLE". It sounds like I can run two boards on one "HLG-320H-C2800A" and see the maximum out of these boards? The C2800A is dimmable (whereas the C2800B is not), correct? I see some people running two boards from a HLG-240 -- would it be possible to run three QB 324's from one HLG-320H?

Does anyone purchase the extra 90 degree optics panel to focus the light? I'm concerned that it might increase heat a bit. What are you guys doing?

Do these boards come with a hanger, power cord, wires, wagos, M3 Screws or are those purchased separately?

Thanks

Qb288v2 single board driver question:

The kit from HLG for a single qb288v2 comes with an hlg-120h-54a. Would a hlg-150h-54a be considered an upgrade from the 120, or should I stick with what hlg chose for their kit?

I'm trying to research many of the same questions. There doesn't seem to be many DIY-LED experts around lately. Take a peek at this site, this helped me: https://www.rapidled.com/led-university-1/

I believe the second number relates to it's max. rated wattage. The second number seems to relate to drivers max. voltage. I know we multiple (current) amps x LED voltage to get max. wattage. If you plan to run this board at it's max 2800 mA If we take 54 / 49.86 VDC; you'd be utilizing 92% of the drivers potential give or take. You could probably run the board at a higher wattage without running your driver as hard with the HLG-150 but I'm not sure because the second number is the same. Are you looking to run this board at 100W, 120W, 150W?

Maybe one of the resident experts can lend their knowledge here.

Just read the driver lable it has all the output info or post a pic of it. It's pretty simple you look at output current and voltage make sure both match up to board rating.

Hi
There are 2 pots on this Hlg-120-54a (fiy)
Since this is ajustable does anyone know what the factory output wattage is ???
