Question about 12/12

Well, when plants are vegging they will use all the light you give them. This means you give a plant 24/0 lights they are constantly photosynthesizing or growing. If just give them 18 hours light then they get 6 hours of darkness during this darkness they are using all that glucose or......sugar to grow. So to answer your question, I don't know. I mean does having a dark period increase the usage of the glucose, and therefore making the plant grow even during the dark....

ok here's a nother good question, I am only growing with CFL and I am using 1 light right now for my 5 plants (have pics) would they grow faster if I give them more light?

Of course.....I mean think about it man

The more lights the better, especially with cfl's. Just make sure you got prober ventilation....more lights more heat.

Yes, but didn't you say you only have one cfl? When you get more they will cause more heat, of course right. But also, besides the heat from lights, you need some fans because fresh air is a must with weed.

Well one whats not even remotely hot to you, is probably really hot to a young small plant. When you have a lot of cfl's, which in order to grow weed with cfl's you need a lot of them, and you have them in your grow room the temp will get up there. And if it gets above 90 F your plants will be beyond fucked. And the other reason......fresh air....no mold etc

here is a test: that same light bulb you touched.....let the plant "touch" it and see what happens. report back here with the results
lol see if it doesn't burn the hell out of your plant

You have a cfl bulb touching a weed plant.....it's burning right now. If you say its not then you are lieing and wasting my time.

I don't get it....there light bulbs they don't know that there are other light bulbs around...

You should find out the K or Kelvin or color temperature of your bulbs. It's very important. Here is a Kelvin Color Temperatures
Its about color temperatures

for vegging you want a higher color temperature becuase summer is hotter bla bla. for flowering a lower color temp bulb those will have a more hazier glow than the higher color temperature bulbs which are whiter

Yes, you can use bulbs of different wattage at the same time. And the plants will appreciate the fan, it'll make them stronger(thicker)too.
