Question about Blue Dream genetics

I've researched info on blue dream and it's genetics. I came into possession of two clones which I was told are two different types of blue dream. I question that because I have only found one type when I search. One looks sativa dominant, the other indica dominant. I know pics will help you guys but I just wanted to get the ball rolling here. Any info would help, Im under the idea that tags or names got switched around because these are two completely differently structured plants. I'll get pics tomorrow.

I've got one that looks like that, and the other totally opposite with broad fan leaves. I don't believe that both are the same. That's the problem in this area, even the dispensaries are known to switch names on meds just to sell.

All the blue dreams have very thin sativa looking leaves... Definetly not broad ones

Exactly that's what I've found everywhere online. Ill post a pic if the one in question later on. It's way more bushes out and definitely not the same.

Yeah, Blue Dream should have thin, sativa, leaves. I got a clone of this variety awhile ago and I'm about 2 weeks from harvest. At least I think its the real Blue Dream, but who the fuck knows. Looks legit.

I ran the real blue dream cut for a couple years, and in my experience it had a sativa structure in growth, in regards to leaf shape, internodal spacing, and general shape; but a more indica bud structure, dense and heavy with resin. I usually have sub-70 night temps, but I also got some blue tints here and there on the finished buds. Its a great plant though, one of my faves.

Bodhi's dream lotus was bred with both the indica production cut of Blue Dream and the super heady sativa cut of blue dream.

Really ? Can u show me where he said that?
It's not.
What it is, is Blue Dream crossed with his Snow Lotus male, and then crossed back once (or more, he's not specific) with the Blue Dream clone. So Dream Lotus includes both indica phenos and Blue Dream dom phenos.

Blue dream is a clone only strain, regardless of what anyone (like Humboldt Seeds) might say. There very well may be (and most likely are) indica phenos of their 'blue dream'; but these are not the Real Deal. Similarly DJ Short has Azure Haze, which probably has indica phenos, and is probably good, but isn't the Real Deal either. Also, unlike Chemdog, I don't think there are any reports of sister seeds being grown out of the blue dream pairing.

So there's no telling what I've really got lmfao. It's all good though, I didn't specifically seek out a blue dream clone, a.friend didn't have room for them so he gave them to me.

i say best way to tell is grow it out and smoke them both and compare them to online reviews of those who have the real deal. if either of yours dont match majority of reviews then its probably not it. if you do then congrats on the winners.

I dont buy that all blue dream only has one type of pheno. blue dream IS a hybrid so therefore there should be different phenos...some more sativa like...and some more indica. i havent grown blue dream personally but most strains i have grown do have different phenos (hybrids anyway).

if blue dream was 100% indica or 100% sativa then it would be easier to determine if its the real deal or not.

as far as im aware blue dream is a haze and blueberry cross (im not sure which is used as the mother/father though)

I don't want to be a dick, but you need to educate yourself on what a 'clone only' strain (like Blue Dream, GSC, the specific OGs, or the Chems and Diesels) is.

"dream lotus was a project from awhile back to create a blue dream
hybrid that keeps all the magic and beauty of the original cut but
adds better structure, and a quicker finish while maintaining the
incredible fragrance and potency. dream lotus is super chunky
extremely frosty mind liberating bud maker with aromas and flavors
of hashy blueberry cake frosting with hints of haze, spice, burnt
sugar, and garden herbs. heavy duty mind melting potency.......
this new release is made with both the bigger yeilding indica
pheno, and the super heady sativa blue dream phenos.... enjoy!"

May be true about a bx... But that's not how it reads.

That's how it reads to me. The first few words say that its creating a blue dream hybrid, its name has the word lotus in it, which is usually used in crosses with his Snow Lotus, and it only makes sense that there would be blue dream phenos as well as snow lotus phenos, both are preserved in the current filial generation of seeds.
