Question about blue light

Ok i was just curious what a Blue light will do to your plants if on with no other lights for say 6 to 8 hours? will this put your plant into flowering? or help them grow? I have some blue lights i was thinking of puting in during the night time so they aren't so bright at night. Any ideas if this is a good idea or a bad idea or just some advise on colored lights in general would be great.
or direction to a thread that contains different colored lights.

What puts your plant into flowering is giving them 12 hours of darkness. The 12/12 light schedule is what causes flowering, not the color of your lights.

As for the effect of blue lights on your plant...well, I've never used them myself. But the Cannabis Grow Bible has a little chart on impact of light colors on plant growth. I typed it up in excel, captured it as an image, uploaded it to photobucket, and now here it is, for your viewing pleasure:

ok so i have really studied the chart above and i believe i have desided to get some red and yellow lights for my flowering time. I will most likely do a few plants in the colored lights and then some with normal lights and see what i get with that. I am on my first harvest and i tried the blue light last night and my plants seem to actually be bigger today then yesterday, and my leaves seem fuller i think i want to try the different colored lights and see what i can get.
any ideas or has any one tried this?
