Question about collecting pollen

So I've got some autoflower seeds I thought I'd use to mess around with outdoors. But first I'd like to select the best male and female out of the 10 pack and do a seed run with so I have many more seeds to play with. The problem is that I don't have much room, not enough to dedicate a space just to flowering a male to collect the pollen. So I was wondering if it would be possible to flower it in my veg room along side my other vegging plants. Because its an auto the light period won't keep it from flowering and I'm wondering if the other regular plants are in veg, barely even showing preflowers, can they even be pollinated?

You can put a bag over the male, turn it upside, and shake it before killing it. Take the pollen, put it in a smaller bag and put it over a cola on your female for a little bit. Should get you some seeds, but not ruin all your bud.
