question about (Just Right Xtra) organic soil

This is my first experience with this soil. I was just wondering if it's suppose to have stones in it? I know some rocks are used for their minerals and for other such uses. It's just they're usually ground or have some other application device subjected onto them. These rocks are just kinda irregular. maybe about the size of driveway gravel. Other than the stones the soil seems to be of superior quality. Dark, earthy smell, a little light on perlite for my taste. Any help would be appreciated. Much love to the community, thanks for your time!:peace:

Those rocks are silica stones. I really like the Just Right Xtra but I do extra perlite as well as worm castings.

Yes, the stones are purposefully in the mix. Silica stones are good for aeration, Si, nute holding, etc. Treat it like you would any normal bagged "soil", basically as a soilless mix after the initial nute charge runs dry. It's not as hot as I expected with all those ingredients. I found Manna Mix to be very similar in this regard.

Thank you everyone for your posts. Kalyx and behshm thanks for the heads up on the silica stone. I use silica blast regularly on my girls i just don't remember reading that the soil had silica stones in it. Just kinda weirded me out like what the hell is gravel doing in my soil? I haven't used any of the soil yet, I bought it to make a little of my own "super soil". I put all my goodies in it, now it's time to cook and activate. After i've used it I will report back on if it's any good or not. I do have to say it really was a great soil to start off with great look and smell you know. :peace: out R.I.U.
