Question about lighting for mother plants

I'm looking into keeping some mother plants in a section of my grow room. All I really need is about 40 clones every 3 months. I figure T5 flourescent lights are a good option, so my questions are: How much heat comes off of these lights and how many do I need to maintain three or four short mother plants? Thanks for any help

Almost no heat and I think 2 would get by just fine, maybe one. I've never grown with Flouros though. 3 good ones should yield your clone needs

I think you can go with a 4 bulb t5 setup for around $100. I would do that. There is no harm in having extra veg growth because you could always prune it to even more of a mother form.

K thanks for the help. Any suggestions on how many mother plants I should keep? They've got to be kind of small, around 2.5 feet.
