Question about new HPS ballast

Hey guys,

Sorry I'm new to HPS, finally upgraded from a kick ass CFL setup to a 600W HPS. So the ballast came in the mail today and it came with a socket, however, so did my cooltube. So my cool tube only has two wires sticking out of it and the one I was sent has 3 wires and the socket looks a lot different. Its the luminex ballast. What should I do? Cut off the socket that came with the ballast and only hook up the 2 wires? What should I do with the ground then? As it sits right now I can't just straight up replace them because the luminex socket has screws on the side not the back and so it won't fit in my cooltube. Do I need the ground cable? Is there anything else I could hook it to?

idk man, i wouldnt do the wiring your self, just figure out what goes with what and talk to the complany.

ya might take it into the hydro shop where I bought it from tommorow and see what they can rig up.
